Description
Visualization of Wikipedia article meta-structure inspired by I/O/D's Web Stalker (1997), an alternative web browser by Matthew Fuller, Colin Green, and Simon Pope that visualized link structures rather than rendering pages. Instead of showing search results as pages, Wikistalker visualizes the hyperlink connections and structure of Wikipedia entries, revealing how articles link to one another and forming a navigable map of knowledge topology. The project treats Wikipedia not as a collection of pages to read but as a network to explore, making visible the editorial choices about what connects to what — an approach that reveals the implicit ontology of the world's largest encyclopedia.
