SandDance is a browser-based data visualization platform spearheaded by Steven Drucker, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research. It takes a groundbreaking approach by visualizing individual particles representing every record within a dataset, rather than aggregating data into traditional charts and graphs. Each data point is shown as a mark that can be smoothly animated between views. Schema Design collaborated on refining the user experience through weekly design sprints, developing an intuitive interface that balances powerful control capabilities with accessibility across desktop and touchscreen devices.
