Description
Personal annual reports by Nicholas Felton documenting his life through data visualization. From 2005 to 2014, Felton meticulously tracked thousands of measurements about his daily activities, relationships, travel, music, food, and consumption, then designed stunning printed infographic reports presenting these statistics. Each year focused on different aspects of life and used distinct visual approaches — the 2010 report tracked his late father's life; later reports used the Reporter app for sampling. The project pioneered the quantified self movement, influenced the design of Facebook Timeline (Felton joined Facebook's product design team in 2011), and demonstrated that personal data could be both deeply meaningful and beautifully designed.
