Description
Crowdflow.net iPhone location data for San Francisco/Oakland/Berkeley
This is an odd-looking data set. A lot of points are clearly randomly chosen within a given (large) radius of some central point, but with "impossible" areas like, apparently, Golden Gate Park, cropped out. I wonder if it would look more reasonable if low-confidence locations were excluded.
Aside from that, it turns out not to be a useful source for how people got to where they were or how long they spent there, because it doesn't record travel speeds and they can't be reconstructed because there is no record of which points came from the same person.
