Flash-based interactive timeline of British history by the BBC, covering thousands of years from prehistory to the modern era (no longer functional due to Flash deprecation). Each dot represents a significant event color-coded by historical era. Clicking an era zooms the timeline to just that period; mousing over individual dots shows specific event details and timing. Users could also filter by region of the UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) or search for a specific year or keyword. The project was an early example of an interactive timeline interface for public education, produced as part of the BBC's extensive educational web content initiative. Kept for the historical record.
